The March 14, 2026 SAT is right around the corner, and now is the time for students and parents to focus on final preparation. The SAT is a major milestone in a student’s academic journey and continues to play an important role in college admissions, scholarship opportunities, and academic placement decisions. For high school juniors and seniors, performing well on this exam can make a significant difference in shaping their college options and future goals.
Understanding the Digital SAT
The SAT is administered in a digital format, designed to be more streamlined and student-friendly.
| Topics | Time Allotted (Min.) | No. of questions |
| Reading & Writing | 64 (two 32 minute modules) | 54 |
| Math | 70 (two 35 minute modules) | 44 |
| Total | 134 | 98 |
The test is adaptive, meaning the difficulty of the second module adjusts based on performance in the first. Students can also use an on-screen calculator (including Desmos) throughout the entire Math section, along with tools such as highlighting, note-taking, and time tracking.
