Amazing Pythagorean Theorem Proofs

a) What is a Pythagorean theorem?

The Pythagorean theorem states that in a right-angled triangle*, the square of the length of the hypotenuse (the side opposite the right angle) is equal to the sum of the squares of the other two sides. (One side is called Opposite side and other is called Adjacent side)

This can be expressed as the equation :

where c is the length of the hypotenuse, and a and b are the lengths of the other two sides. The theorem is named after the ancient Greek mathematician Pythagoras, who is credited with its discovery. It is a fundamental concept used in various mathematical and geometric calculations.

b) *What is a Right Triangle?

A right triangle is a geometric shape that has one angle equal to 90 degrees (a right angle). It consists of three sides, with the side opposite the right angle called the hypotenuse. The other two sides are called the legs of the triangle. Right triangles are widely used in mathematics, physics, engineering, and various other fields. They have unique properties that make them essential in understanding trigonometric functions and geometric relationships.
